We work from evidence-based methods: cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care. We offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), including for Medi-Cal clients, which is uncommon when EMDR is usually cash-pay. See EMDR therapy for how that works.

Saqib Iqbal, LCSW, founded Eye Cue Mental Health in November 2017 to bring private-practice psychotherapy to more Californians. He is the practice's licensed clinical social worker, and he supervises a growing team of associate clinicians who carry the day-to-day caseload.

Yes, we take Medi-Cal, and it covers a large share of our clients. We hold active contracts with Anthem Medi-Cal, Blue Shield Promise Medi-Cal, LA Care, and Molina. Call 562-860-2891 and we'll confirm your specific plan before your first session.

What if I don't like the therapist they assign me?

You can switch to another clinician inside the practice. The fit between you and your therapist matters more than any intake form. Ask at any point and we'll match you with someone else, without restarting your care.

We work to keep your care going through the change. If your new plan is one we accept, you stay with your therapist. Call us as soon as you know your coverage is changing so we can check the new plan.
